And different NGOs and agencies\u00a0 for the welfare of the poor , the destitute, the needy and the distress people or broadly speaking\u00a0 for the community in general, the main objectives are as follows:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To maintain the unity and close understanding among the people\u00a0 of Ribhoi District in particular in the state and country in General.<\/li>\n<li>To safe guard\u00a0 the rights and properties of individual irrespective of cast and creed<\/li>\n<li>To help and develop\u00a0 the traditional ,khasi\u00a0 culture etc.<\/li>\n<li>To fight against antisocial elements and full render cooperation to the Government\u00a0 in all mater relating to the good and clean administration\u00a0 in the villages\/District and in the state as whole.<\/li>\n<li>To educate people in the arts of sports and sewing ,knitting and rearing etc.<\/li>\n<li>To fight against illiteracy , poverty, ill health and ignorance ,and uplift people for better through hard work and education<\/li>\n<li>To infuse the spirit of co-operation\u00a0 among men ,women, youth and children.<\/li>\n<li>To establish an important vocational training\u00a0 centre in the trades of Computer, tailoring ,embroidery ,knitting,\u00a0 weaving, carpentry, furniture, masonry, automobile, beekeeping, etc, to impart training for women ,men and unemployed youth.<\/li>\n<li>To solved employment problem in the District in particular in the state and country in general.<\/li>\n<li>To encourage the people\u00a0 especially the educated youths to start their own\u00a0 business .i.e. small scale industries \/cottage industries\/run of transport vehicles etc.<\/li>\n<li>To\u00a0 educate people for better planning\u00a0 and implementation\u00a0 of rural development\u00a0 programmes and the rights of responsibilities\u00a0 through mass media.<\/li>\n<li>To educate the people particularly\u00a0 the poor to play an effective\u00a0 role in Rural Development\u00a0 programme.<\/li>\n<li>To provide technical\u00a0 and financial\u00a0 guidance and assistance rather than implementing the programme .<\/li>\n<li>To encourage the people to adopt new method\u00a0 of cultivation and development of agricultural activities<\/li>\n<li>To render financial\u00a0 help to the needy and distressed people in time of calamity and hardship<\/li>\n<li>To educate the people\u00a0 for protecting\u00a0 and preservation the environment .<\/li>\n<li>Last but not the least ,to work for the welfare of the community \/society in general.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RAWA being a non profit making organization ,working hand in hand\u00a0 with the villagers, village headman, individual person interested\u00a0 in social work ,Government Dept.
